Dick Verkijk

Dick Verkijk was born in the Netherlands in 1929. He covered the communist countries from 1958 to 1995, the last 10 years from Belgrade, the capital of Yugoslavia, where he was based as a correspondent for the Dutch radio and television. He is a well-published author and, since From Bazooka to Bosnia, has written half a dozen books, listed below. From 1995-2022, he lived in Utah in the United States, and he then returned to his homeland of the Netherlands.
